Camaro nose el camino intake & engine cover update pics
I'm a lil further along than last time I posted. Haven't seen anyone else shape an engine bay cover to match a hood, so thought I'd do it.Initial rough shape done, need to design sides.Almost finished the handmade bugcatcher style intake.

woah! That is great work. I actually had plans to do something similar under the hood since my car didn't come with inner fender wells.
But that car....a Camaro front on an El Camino??? Do you have more pictures of this thing we can see??

Dave ,I have a photobucket link & a you tube link on my signature. If it,s not showing up on your screen, just google Joe's camaro nose el camino.
This might help you for an engine cover if you like mine:: I had a local fiberglass shop that makes parts for US body source mold the sides of a hood for my cover. I had a ROUGH mold already for the front portion which was custom anyways, the rest was hand fabbed from fiberglass. I plan on making cardboard templates for the sides & back, then cutting another sample from 1/8" masonite before cutting fron .063 alum sheet. Will be using a fair amount of 1/8" hole size preforated metal for venting, which is what's filling in between the air intake & fiberglass.
Never saw an underhood cover shaped the same as the hood, maybe I,m the first???
