thanks bud, we really wanted to keep the stock hood just for that reason. hopefully we'll still have enough of airflow to the motor with the setup

In the process of doing a Ls swap on my 78 Pontiac Phoenix (same subframe as a 78 nova) & was wondering which ebay shorty headers would fit my car?

Cool headers

these exit by bellhousing and fit mine quite well. There is a part on block casting u need to check for clearance. Header may not seal good against head if its touching header. Grind on it a little and it works

fit both mine. skylark and crewcab squarebody.

anyone done the LSx swap but retained A/C - im in possession of an unloved no respect malaise era 75 Nova coupe (original a 250/3 spd) which currently has a 305 and a THM350C in place of a grenaded 350 and a Muncie 4 speed (there r some tech articles on the T56 swap into an unloved 75-79 GM X platform since the drawback - no one reproduces the manual transmission swap parts (esp the manual clutch linkage which does NOT exist! incl the pedals)

headers I used are just the china made that come up on ebay looking for Ls swap stuff. around $185 or so. Are decent pieces. I have muscle car pan and used adapter plates. I have it set forward far as can so my 4L65E barely clears tunnel in back where tailcone bolts on. If I take it out ever I'm going change or chop pan so not be lower than cross member. Chevy SSR truck upper radiator hose fits nice with truck pump. Dorman 300-130 steering pulley needed and change valve on steering pump out and lines work fine.

Default work in progress

have seen this in New Caney back in March 2017 - after viewing the video clip on YouTube with the Bonemaro (which is a trashed out 79 Camaro seen on Hot Rod Garage) would do the same with my derelict 75 Nova which has been sittin in the garage since 1997 - also the Goodguys show amended the cutoff year to 1997 where Malasians r now welcome...

Default 1975 4 Door Nova

I am still building my 75 4 door. I am in the reassembling phase. LS3/4l80e done, Texas stage 3 cam, 3200 stall, .660 duel valve springs, long tube monster. Interior complete, working on suspension now, and getting ready to vinyl wrap. Hopefully done real soon.
