The Porsche throttle pedal is very similar to the GM. I did some ohm readings and found which wires are from which sensor (2 sensors ). The Porsche pedal seems just a little mushy and not quite as sensitive as the GM. But I haven't had access to a tune scanner to make sure the throttle body is opening all the way or correctly. I've been driving the car just fine, but I feel it needs some fine tuning. Also the Porsche pedal has a cable that goes to a sensor under the dash and this could be where my sloppiness comes from, I just hate getting under there to check it out.

oddly enough ,, that cable goes to what I recall was the throttle pedal position sensor!
why they didn't incorporate it in the pedal itself is beyond me .

On my ta do list. Weather has sucked lately, been working too much and had some problems with lowering the front end. Exhaust is a little too loud for MY taste, wouldn't want to drive on long trips. I still need to remove and wrap the pipes, will probably try some different mufflers also. Will try and post sound video soon.

Updates: Haven't driven for about 2 weeks.

1. Had a weak battery, tried to start, starter would turn over fine for 5 seconds, 3 attempts, starter got weak, like it had no spark, checked battery voltage 11.3v. charged battery for full charge, car started fine, was told this is normal on computer controlled cars.

Removed exhaust, in process of wrapping, don't like the fact that it is not symmetrical, will have to do, painted with high heat ceramic header paint.

Looking good man! I'm so jealous of how clean your undercarriage is. Mine has 170,000 (yea.. dont judge). Well, First start was a few days ago. I have a few small wire issues to sort out and then I will be welding the exhaust much like you are. I think I'm going to make plates that mount to where the engine mounts would bolt off that have some angle bracket welded to them. Then I will take and attach exhaust hangers to the angle bracket to support the system. I'm keeping the camaro cats I have.. just have to bend them up.

Thanks, The reason mine is so clean, cause that's all I had to keep me busy while I was working up the money to buy the motor. The Camaro cat exhaust I have has the flex joint on them and the hole was so much smaller then the 2 1/2" pipes, way too restrictive.

My 996 came without an engine and I have looked in the Bentley Manual and really have no clear direction of what the lines in the attached photo need to connect too. You input would be appreciated.

The two top ones are Fuel pressure, fuel tank vent. The lower is the power brake vacuum. The 99-2001 also has a fuel return.

Thanks, I had the fuel supply and return figured out. It was the other two lines that I needed to know about. So, I would guess you hooked the lower hose in the picture to the intake manifold vacuum point on the rear of the manifold, right. And the fuel tank vent to the air intake to the TB? Mine also has another vent line that is just stubbed out under the car around the transmission, on the right side.

Exhaust wrapped DEI Titanium 2 1/2, 50ft rolls 2" wide. Took about 200 miles to quit stinking.

Glad to see you kept the Porsche tips. I have always thought they are one of the best tip designs.

Car looked great at the car show Sat. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stop by and drool on it, I saw it as I was driving by going to our training area.

Would have been good to see ya. I lost best in show to a new red corvette. That's what happens when the wives and the kiddies vote. LOL, It was fun to answer all the questions and comments though.

That's why I don't do car shows. Idiots like the pretty cars that just rolled off the show room floor. Don't appreciate creativity and ingenuity.
