This is the LS motor mount that bolts to the heads. Purchased from Renegade Hybrids.

Awesome! Is that trans plate completely flat? You should make a cardboard template of it and the motor mount in case you ever do the swap again.

Nope it's about 2" thick and the flywheel/clutch assembly used to get the Porsche tranny to mate to the LS took A lot of machine and design work. Not something you could do very easy by yourself.

Looking forward to your build thread. I think I'm the only 996 in-progress thread right now. There's only been 2 that I know of so far.

Ain't that the truth! We want **** err pics! Most of all, I want to ride in one of these bad boys. Heard a Porsche going up the street earlier today, didn't sound normal to me, so it made me wonder if it had a heart transplant or not.

the m96 engine cars... 996 and boxster. are great cars to do a lsx swap to because of the intermediate shaft bearing failures in the motors.

Good luck, I'm just about finished with my 02 conversion. I don't know about flipping the intake around, there's not a whole lot of space as it is now between the body and the back of the engine, so I don't know if the TB would would fit let alone an elbow for the intake piping unless you want to do something crazy and plumb it through the back seat and do some sort of naca ducts in the rear quarter windows.

Do you have a build site ? Would like to see your progress.

I'm looking into the idea of running the intake maybe like post #88 of THIS thread but won't make anything definite till I install the motor and see just how much room I have ?
