I was impressed with the manifold kit. Came in a nice case, quality brass fittings, not bad at all. I actually returned the pump without opening the box because I realized I didn't need it and would have preferred the $100. My system still has plenty of charge in it and I didn't feel like setting up some sort of recovery system. If it were bone dry I would have kept it and refilled the system. I would imagine the pump does well for personal use. Even if you only get 2 uses out of it you'd still be ahead considering what you would have paid a shop to do the same.

I'm not sure the climate control will enable it without the bmw ecu. My button doesn't light up on the dash when I push it. I also cant get the horn to work. both circuits are good past the relays its somewhere in the control circuits.

I wired my ac to work through the GM PCM. It should send the power (don't know if it works yet, but lights are on) via th BMW button though.
How did you wire yours?

Im leaving the ECU out of it. I wired the bmw compressor wire into the GM compressor if I jump the relay it works. I have a van compressor so the bmw high low pressure switch should run it if I could get climate control to turn it one.

I think the M50 engines used the ECU to run the Ac compressor where the other cars it was stand alone. That doesn't explain the horn though? The fuse is good and aux water pump works. Its almost like I've knocked off a plug somewhere. I have read that if its low on r134 the light wont come on the dash and mine is empty. Maybe ill try jumping some switches this weekend.

Their external dimensions are the same. The displacement is altered by piston sleeve bore size, piston rod length, and/or crank dimensions. Throttle bodies, intake manifolds, sensors, and other odds and ends differ externally. Accessory setups vary depending on the vehicle it was sourced from.

Could I use a t5 as the trans for an ls1 swap? I have 4.10 posi and how do I go about a driveshaft for either 4l60e or a t5. And finally what do I need to change my auto car to manual setup for the swapped motor and trans. Any websites for the parts would be great. I have a 1992 BMW 525i e34 btw.

There are several variables that can affect driveshaft mods. You'll need to assess that once you A. have selected what parts you're using, and B. have them in the car for measurements. Once you're at that point, a driveshaft shop should be able to fab something up for you. It's not cheap, but I wouldn't consider it cost-prohibitive. It's generally a matter of shortening the existing shaft and changing whatever mounting provisions are needed to mate up to the trans output shaft/flange or the rear pinion of your differential, balancing it once it's all together, and making sure your angles are correct once it's in the car--shimming where necessary.
Changing an auto to a manual is a fair amount of work. The easiest way to go is to find another 5 series of the same era either as a parts car or a new swap candidate that has the shifter, clutch pedal assembly, master cylinder, and any other provisions. I'm not sure how a 1992 manual is integrated into the wiring harness, but I'm assuming it is somehow. If it were me doing the LS swap into an auto car, I'd leave it an auto car. Sometimes it's best to keep it simple--especially if it's your first swap.
