Cool V6 to LSx Conversion

Okay first of all I gotta say this place is great!

Lots of cool folks and wealth of info!

Okay what I have is a 1997 Camaro with the no so realiable 3.8 liter engine. (smoking and no power). Has a 5 speed gear box and everything else is stock.

Now what I would like to do is convert to the LQ4 or LQ9 6.0 liter engine. Throw in a cam and headers and exhaust and be done with it.

What my question is this:

A). What conversion parts would I need to shoe horn this in the engine bay.
B). Is it work it so should I just go buy a 99-02 with an LS already installed and ready to go!?

Seems like the oil pan would be the first thing that would have to be changed correct? Motor Mounts might be next, plus that 5 speed might be too weak to hold up to the LS engine's power.

Thoughts?
