5.3 s10 blazer
I've got a thread started in the carb section, but thought I'd post some pics here. Nothin special, just a stock 04 LM7, with cam, heads milled
Crossmember to clear brp in frame long tubes(lot of work went into making he in frame ones fit the 1st generation blazerFinished this up yesterday, the tubing is 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 1/4 thick
Intrepid fans for the superior radiator. Gotta trim them some
Got everything ready for the motor to go back in, worked on the trans some, fixin leaks and small stuff, before I got hurt
Just a pic of the motor, intake is just setting on there, headers off.
[/QUOTE]
Hope the 3 inch cowl works

Very Very Nice! I love S10 blazers. My first vehicle was a dropped 2wd 89 that I still have after 12 years I also just picked up a 5.3 and am stoked to see how this turns out

hey man the truck looks awesome.
i am building one very similar and have the same brp longtubes. my question would be what all did you do to get them to clear. trying to see what i am getting into.
that is if i ever finish my paint

Doing all that wasn't too bad, just pulling the motor/trans in and out over and over was aggravating. Especially when something new came up everytime. I also had to swap ends on my jeep steering shaft, which is a good investment if you don't have one.
I have the muscle car oil pan or hummer, it is flush with the crossmember, on s10s it hangs below because they don't have the blazer mounting pads
This is a 250 dollar junkyard 5.3, so I'm proud of how its turning out

I had to notch the frame, cut the seem off the firewall on the passenger side, notch the ac box, move the brake line on the crossmember, I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Someone had cut the blazer towers off the crossmember, so I had to weld two blocks back on to raise the motor like the blazers. If its a first generation blazer, just plan on cutting the frame. Not sure on the 2nd generation ones.

Do u remember what the back spacing is on the rear? I'm shopping around on wheels for my s10 but I not 100% on what to get for the rear,I swapped to an 8.8 rear from an explorer but I narrowed it 3" by using 2 pass. Side axles but its still wider then a stock 2wd s10 rear by like an 1 1/16" per side
