GM Swap guys need radiator suggestions
Ive been looking on summit at they're aluminum radiators and I've noticed they sell radiators with both the inlet and outlet on the same side. I'm thinking this would be easier on the LS swap. My question is for those who've done the swap would you prefer factory style (outlet opposite side of inlet) or same side.?
Here they are.

I'm running a Summit/Griffin in my 65 Chevelle with the hoses on the same side. I like the shorter hoses and my intake tube/assembly goes in nicely behind the left front head lights. You might also cosider one of their fans too. You have to make your own mounts but they are a great buy too.

Same here and for the same reason.
Companies make radiators for the LS conversion that have a provision for the steam hose from the heads. Of course you can run that hose to the water pump or tee into the return hose to the radiator.

I used a Griffin LS swap radiator in mine too. Steam fitting and inlet and outlet on the passenger side too. I used a set of V6 fans from a Firebird the same style as LS1 fans. They fit perfectly.

I recently bought a vette style thermostat does that mean I need to change it to one that has a straight out housing?

Don't forget about tranny cooler if you need one and don't want to run a separate one.

The prices from the OP are real good. Factor in fans and mounting them into overall cost. My Afco was like $550.oo and the Afco fans were roughly $350.oo. WAY more than I wanted to spend.
Summit has started using their own brand LS swap dual pass radiators. FWIW

I used the trans cooler version of this one. Fans were about $40 from the junkyard, I welded some 1 1/4" by 1/8" aluminum from top to bottom on both sides by the tank with 4 tapped pieces of round aluminum and bolted the fan to that.

I got the radiator. Looks great! What hoses did you guys run? Do you guys remember the hose part # ?? Thought I'd ask before I go digging for some a the local auto parts store.
Thanks

I got one of those long truck hoses and cut it and used one of the plastic connectors to make a hose, and used the bottom hose from the Caprice to cut and use a connector to make a hose.
