Warning.. the CTS-V pan will hang below the Cross member around 1". If you have a lowered Chevelle.. you are going to be bottoming out on it.. You will be scraping on speed bumps, pot holes and anything that sticks up.
I when back to a Notch F-Body pan and not switching to a Holley 302-2 pan. That is my recommendation..

Yeah.. Since I was putting a new line in and using a Adjustable P-Valve.. I was able to move and bend the lines enough to removing the OEM Valve away from the Headers.
I Just notched my F-Body pan some.. but not as much as a normal S&P notch.. Here is a picture of it as compared to a CTS-V Pan
I only notch enough to clear, I didn't have to mod the pick up, but the baffle around it only.
The ones without the four bosses on the side are the earlier CTS-V, without the oil cooler. I had two that I brought back then that were pull off from Roy Brizio (he replaced them with F-Body for some rosders he was building) and I sold one to Phil at BRP Hot Rods. He used it to build the install kits he markets

I went the CTS pan way and its about 3/4" on my setup. I am hoping with good suspension it will improve my chances of not hitting it. Time will tell and I will cross that bridge when that happens.
Has anyone tried to shorten up a CTS-V pan?

Ebay has used pans for almost the price of a new pan,Il probably get a new pan. As far as cutting the frame to install a F pan that is out of the question on my car. The frame and body is mint and if I decide to put a traditional engine back in it I can without hacking the car up.
