4L80E Tans Cooler Ports 90* Fittings First Gen F-Body - TCI 831010
So on the install of the motor with the BRP kit, the trans fits in the tunnel fine, but the trans cooler line ports don't have much room to actually hook up the cooler line. I did some research and contacted TCI. They said that part number 831010 is a 90* fitting that installs into the trans that will solve the issue. Not that I don't believe them, but I have not been able to find a picture of the kit anywhere, including their own web site.
Has anyone else run into this issue and did they use the TCI part, or something else? From what TCI described they may just be two -6 double map 90's, and the pricing is consistent with that. If anyone has used them, if you have a pic that would be great, or just info on if they worked or you went another way.

I went through this a while ago the best solution I came up with was to braze fittings to connect flare tubing to the connectors I made . since that I have purchased the 4l80 to 6an adaptors but that will require some more room . the problem with the fittings that I made it you have to make sure the oriientation is right between the tight fitting and where you are going to braze the tube fitting to . look through my thread to see a pic . Yeah, but I was wondering if it was a stock photo considering TCI swears its a 90.
That seems like a pretty tight 90 there, any issues with fluid restriction that you can tell?
Thanks, I'll check with them.

4L80E 90* Fitting - MiddleFingerSpeedShop.com
So I posted about a TCI part that was supposed to be a 90* trans cooler fitting for the 4L80E, and though I haven't received it yet, everything indicates that it is not as described. MS Racing Components pointed me to an ebay auction with a set of fittings done by http://www.middlefingerspeedshop.com, and they look to be exactly what I needed. They will sit off the trans by 1 3/16", which is about a 1/4" or so better than anything else that could exist that is not fabbed.
The best part is the guy is located here in Vegas, so I had the rare opportunity to go check something out before I actually had to shell out the money or to screw with taking it back. I just happened to get the last set from his latest batch, so I am wondering if some other LS1Tech'er picked up the second to last set, if you did, let me know how the install goes!
Joel, hand makes these fixtures and they look to be very high quality and craftsmanship. I spent about 45 minutes shooting the breeze with him, very cool guy. So if you are looking for a means to run your cooler lines without having to BFH your trans tunnel, give him a shout out.
And thanks to MS Racing Components

Picture of fittings (scroll down)
Install directions
To Install:
Lube o-rings & tube.
Screw in by hand to clocking (fitting direction).
Hold fitting with 14mm wrench and tighten the 11/16 jam nut to 20 ft. lbs.
No need to get crazy with jam nut.
Must use a backup wrench when tightening the line onto the fitting.
I also sell just the two fittings with no extension tube installed for older 4l80 cases.
The 90* part of the lower fitting on these cases just scrapes the case on the last turn in. I will see if I can find the picture of this that I have.

Looks like he has not been on here for a while, so I sent an email listed on his website, but need options if I do not hear soon, as I have dragged this project on way to long and need to keep progress going. Next option looks like buying
this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/230791392105?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITthen use these russel fittings ?

I will dent the floorpan if needed, but rather not......
Have you had your car running with the fittings? Wonder if that tight of a bend hinders flow? ???
thanks

here's mine, 4l80e in a typhoon, -6 lines, npt to-6 in front,( be careful do not over tighten or you could rack case) 4l80e long fitting in back( like the black one in previous post)with a 90 o ring fitting. it's been several years, I couldn't find the numbers, they were earls.
