My turbo headers came in! I got them fitted on the mock block and they look great. I'm going to order the piping stuff so I can get started on the building of it. I'm going to neck down the 3" to a 2.5" and then go from there.

At least nothing was alive in there. We saw that a time or two. The project is looking great. If you plan to use a lot of stainless look at cobalt bits. They go through stainless like butter.

I ended up buying two small bits to get the wholes started. Once they were started it was easy with my poverty bits.

Small update. I cut the 3" vbands off and got a transition to 2.5". I welded that on and the 2.5" vbands for them. I'm waiting on my tubing to arrive, which isn't going to be until tuesday. I also got the front brake lines made and routed along with mounting plates for the rear brake line.

I finally got my 2.5" stainless, t4 flanges and merge pieces. I got one side fitted and welded up. I welded a tab to the t4 flange and made a support out of 3/4" dowel rod.

I got the drivers side downpipe fabbed up. I'll get the passengers side done tonight. The wideband bung isn't in the most ideal place, but I cut up my old downpipe and that's where it was there. The wideband fits, but I'll have to make something to make sure the wires don't get burnt up.

Got the passenger side downpipe all done. I'll probably have to swing them inward but for now they are done.

Looks good. A little on the hot side for the welds. When the welds are that dark and dull, that's a sign. Also try not to leave a divit at the end of the weld.

Try swirling the torch in a circular motion after the last dab of filler and hold the torch over it while the post flow is going and keep it there until the weld doesn't appear to glow orange. This works for me anyhow.

I really like your turbo layout and piping thus far. This is going to be a sick build for sure.

Yeah some of them got hot, but what's done is done lol. I wasn't sure how to get rid of the divit. I'm definitely not experienced with the TIG. The aluminum is going to be terrible. Most of the stuff that I've welded has been thicker, which is easier.

Looks good. Where did you get your motor plates. Haven't found anyone that has motor plates for stock subframe.the plastic block is the way to go for setting it up.

They are from ebay. I haven't fit them with the timing cover yet, but they appear nice.

Looks like our TIG skills are about on the same level...what are you using to TIG? Have you tried Pulsing?

I find pulsing at 1 PPS really helps get the dip dip dip just right..

SO are you planning to be driving it this season?

Or will it be locked in paint jail?
