Default 98 GMC 3500 7.4 swap to 6.0?

Anyone ever looked at doing this swap?
Was wondering how the 6.0 harness would match up, there is a 0411 swap most do to allow tuning and to ditch the black box ecu so I assume the 6.0 swap would be pretty easy.
I have a crew cab 3500 srw 7.4 4l80e that I really love just hate the big block, it does great towing my racecar but it is getting tired and I would rather not throw any money away rebuilding it if the 6.0 swap is simple to integrate plus I can use my 4L80e that is already in the truck.

Go for it - I put a 6.0 in place of a 5.7 in my 98 K2500 burb with 4L80e and it worked out great. the only gauge that does not work is the fuel gauge and I'm told with the correct tuner it can be made to work. I used the stock 5.7 harness and just added the individual coil and injector wiring, then pulled all the pins from the 98' black ecm and repined them into the 0411.

Different animal here the 7.4 Vortech has 8 injectors hence the questions everyone I have seen was a 1500 TBI obs swap. People are doing a 0411 PCM swap on the 7.4 so I assume it is as simple repining the harness and plugging it in aside from the additional coil wiring that will be needed?

What?!!
You have the best of all the Pick-N-Pull engines, the one hardest to get, and you want to toss it aside! For less than a 6.0 swap you could revise the combo to optimize the crown jewel.

9mpg and 240hp...if that's the best I need to go buy a Ford LOL The heads on the 7.4 suck there is very few albeit very expensive aftermarket performance parts available for the 7.4. I'll take a 6.0 anyday wanna buy a 454?

Then all you need to do is add the 8 coil controls and powers and you're good to go! On the 5.7 the fuel injector plug for the "spider" injector setup has the same colors and pin assignments that the 0411 has. PM me your email and I'll send you the pin outs, if you want....

Default 99Crew454

I found this and wondering if this increases gas mileage on the 454 Votex, changing to the spark plug coil and related changes ?
I have 4.10 gears and 4X4.
I have a local salvage yard to get other Gearing.
