Default DBW gas pedal stops responding.

I converted a 98 corvette wiring harness to 99. The car runs fine but every so often the gas pedal stops responding. This can happen when I am driving
It does not matter where I have the gas pedal (I could have my foot to the floor) the car sits in idle.

To get rid of the issue all I need to do is turn the car off for about 10 seconds and the problem goes away. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to solve it.

It goes into limp mode (idle) if the resistance across the pedal pots doesn't agree or the TB doesn't agree with the pedal position.
Any codes?
Most likely pedal position sensor, pedal harness, or TPS.
Mine was and intermittent harness connector short at the pedal.

Default Dbw

Usually if the car goes into the limp mode the codes have to be cleared in order to return to having throttle response. This sounds more like a loose wire at the throttle body. Inspect your wires VERY close for one that is almost broken in two, maybe just one strand holding it together. Not easy to do but you will be able to tell by how floppy a broken wire is.
