Default LS2 swap 01 camaro

So i have and 01 LS1 camaro and i want to swap it to an LS2.
My question is do i need to get an ecu, and harness from a GTO to make the conversion work or will the LS1 harness and ecu work with the LS2.
the LS1 is already built and has been for a while and im just kinda looking to do something different with the car now.... any other suggestions are welcome...
thanks

Your ls1 computer will work with the ls2.

If your LS2 is 2005 or under it will have 24x reluctor and will work. If it's 2006 it may have the 58x which will have to be changed out.

What are you hoping to gain? Why not just swap the heads/cam/intake,tune it and call it good?

I don't have a specific gain that I'm trying to achieve I'm just looking to do something different with the car now other than an ls1..... ive already upgraded the valve train with an ms3 cam and yella terra roller rockers and chromoly pushrods and a 92mm intake with a tune....... I'm more or less just looking to build an ls2 from the ground up I already have the block I'm not sure of the things I need to make the engine work with the wiring and computer I already have
