Ls1/t56 Idles High Till Stop
Just got my 89 s-10 on the road with my ls1/t56 swap. Couldn't have done it without this board. I want to thank everyone here for their help. Just sucks that I finish it in December, but thats part of it i guess. anyways, my question is, is a 6-speed computer supposed to make the engine idle around 1500 rpms untill you come to a complete stop. It idles fine unless I start to drive, then it will idle high until it sees zero on the vss reading. The engine is completely stock with a 224@ .050 / .581 comp cam and ls6 intake. Any ideas? If this is a factory operation, can i get rid of it? thanks guys

It sounds like the normal behavior, the PCM holds the RPMs up until you come to a complete stop.
You might watch the IAC counts to see if the PCM wants the revs up where they are.
