I'd swap the lt for an ls in a heartbeat.

After selling off my lt1 and all the parts, I ended up with $225 bucks in my pocket, and a 243 headed, ls6 cammed lq4, pacesetter lt's, kmember, mounts, oil pan and accessories, intake, and wiring harness.

I now have an lsx motor in my car and pocketed cash. So don't automatically assume the lsx swap is more expensive and not worth the money.

Oh yeah, and I got a bulletproof ignition system that lt1 guys have to shell out upwards of $700 bucks to duplicate- straight from the factory!

To me, the LS1 is easier to work, especially with the coil pack ignition system, and has a lot more potential than the LT1.
Easiest of all, IMO would be to sell your LT1 car and buy and LS1 car.

Red Mnster Z, if the iginition system is all that concerns you then do the EFI Connections swap.

My uncle has an LS1 and yes I love It to death. But to think that I would Swap My Built 383 is just plain stupid. yes, the LT1 gives me problems but it also helps me learn more and for being a 20 year old I wouldnt trade my LT for the world. Enjoy what you have. Whenever I read about people posting about how horriable and unreliable the LT is, It just make me wanna make mine go faster just to prove them bastards wrong.
