Default Shocks/Spring for optimal ride height?

I'm just wondering what kind of shocks/springs people run after swapping a LS1 into their first-gen Camaro?

I'd like to get the front to sit about 1/2" higher than it did before the motor swap.

Does anyone have any experience with the QA1 pro coil coil-over shock system? It's an adjustable ride height, so it sounds tempting:http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0075&langId=-1

qa1's are great. I'm confused as to how it's lower.. unless it had no motor to begin with..

I think it's going to set quite a bit higher now with the LS1 than it did with an iron block, iron head small block?

That picture was with the iron block in it.

Default springs

I went with a 6cyld spring and mine still sat up too high. I cut one coil off and it sat much better. my chevelle is no corner carver. but it dosent have a stiff ride. seems to ride smooth if you are going in a line. LOL
