Nice buildup...I saw a post of yours over on Protouring.com and read your whole buildup thread. Car should be badass when done. I'm wondering how well that engine is going to fit into the frame cradle since it had to be narrowed as much as you did. Keep us posted.

The wheels are from Ace and are called "slick" http://www.acealloywheel.com/ 18X9.5 up front and 18X11 in back

The firewall has to get moved back some 6" and the alternator has to get mounted up higher to clear the UCA's.

Some pics of porting the throttle body & I picked up a 1 3/8" freeze plug today to block off the EGR.

These pics show how far back shes got to go and how little room there is between the UCA's. Keep in mind the front of the engine has to be behind the centerline of the hubs to clear the rack & pinion.

Looks awesome. I have a thing for early Chevy II's. And with an LS1 in it, I like it even better. Good Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words.

I spent some time today removing pieces of the firewall and moving the engine back. There isn't much room to run the rear cylinders exhaust pipe but it should be manageable. I have roughly 5" of ground clearance sitting at it's current height in these pics which is about 1/2" higher than what the cross members are.

I haven't had much time to work on the car lately but I snuck away for a few hours today and made the motor mounts.

$15 in Energy Suspension "link type bushings"
$15 in misc steel

A pic of the watts link

I finally got the tranny cross member finished. It tucks up about 2" higher than the glide member that was in it.

Here is the rearview, the angle is misleading but the bottom of the new cross member and tranny case is almost perfectly even with the height of the body line. I left the glide cross member in there for a point of reference.

From the side you can see the stock p/g member hanging below the body but the new one is out of sight.

What's the original application (or a part number if you have it) on those bushings?
