I am running the vet compressor. I looked on docs blocks and found a fitting made for the ls compressors with thread fittings which is no big deal. How did those of you running this setup or other similar methods get it to clear everything and get your lines in a safe location. I think I can use a set of tight radius 90's threaded on and then build the lines wo any problem. If you have pictures that would be even better.

I just got my Docs Blocks compressor manifolds and hoses back. I'm using the threaded blocks with hoses that screw on. I had to have custom made crimp ends made, then cut the hose to fit between hard lines and send them back to be crimped on. Tommorrow going to be installing them. Looks like one crimp rotated 1/4 inch, so hopefully still fit. I'll take pics after install.

That's what I'd like to see. How did you wind up routing the suction line. I think I may run mine down and beside the oilpan and then up through the front to the accumulator.

Coming soon. Waiting on an o-ring kit. Plus, i've been hanggliding the last 2 days while waiting for the kit. In morning will be pulling battery out so I can get to hoses and compressor.

Playing hell here too. My hoses came out 1/2 inch longer than when I sent them off to be crimped, plus one rotated about 10 degrees, so neither fits now. Go figure. I think I'm just going to cut the tubing and weld it back up if I can. Gotta practice welding some scrap hoses tommorrow. Anyone know how much oil to put in the AC compressor when redoing the system? Mines the truck setup as well. Still don't know for sure how i'm going to wire it. The computer needs a serial data input from 2005 HVAC controller to work normally.

Well, had NAPA redo the hose crimp that had rotated and made the hose unusable. They also shortened it up and it's now installed and fits perfect. Unfortunately, I blasted a big hole in the other hose tube when I went to tig it back together. The tubing is a lot softer than the ones I practiced on and made great welds on. Figures. Ordered a sleeve and some aluminum brazing rod from Doc's blocks to fix it, but won't be here till at least Tuesday. Buying a Vacuum pump on Monday. Figure this won't be my last conversion, sooo.

My suction hose from the accumulator drops at 90 Degrees straight to the compressor. The discharge comes out at 45 degrees and up to the condensor. Both pretty short hoses. Next time i'll loop them around so have more volume and play to work with. The hose from the condensor to evap is the stock S10 tube with HP port.

Do you put a full 8 oz in the compressor itself. I saw you put 2 oz in evap, 2 in Condensor, and 1 in new accumulator.

I usually just put 2 or three in the compressor and the rest in the dryer. It will distrubute around the system itself once it starts cooling. That is just to keep the compressor from running dry when you initially start it up.

OK, thanks. I put 4 in the compressor already and the rest in the other components. Hopefully get my hose fixed Tuesday. Then figure out how to wire it to work.

The vet compressor and hoses is turning out to be an absolute mfa. I have the docs blocks but I am having to cut to far back into the spring pocket section of the frame for comfort. I also have a couple of suction discharge headers I am trying to see if I can make something fit.
