Default ls conversion meeting?

I just wanted to throw this out there and see who would have interest come spring time when everyone is getting there car's out of the garge. I was wondering if anybody would have interest in getting together for a little lunch or cruise and looking over other conversion and exchanging idea's? I know not everyone on here is located in one area but a meeting at a bigger event such as power tour, carlisle or even some local race event's might work out.I would go to say it's not a exclusive meet for conversion car's but a good chance for people considering conversion to to see a couple and even talk to a couple builder's and get a better idea about them. I myself would like to see a few of this car's on here as they are realy nice and a lot of time and money has gone into them.
some idea's I have would be
1. Carlise june 20th-22nd 2008
2. cruise to a local 50's style car hop
3. either somebody's place or local park grounds

I'm currently building mine right now but I hacen't posted it on here. I'm trying to build a cheap sleeper/dd duty truck. I've currently got a lq4/4l80e with everything and a 96 longbed s10 and am only 1500 bucks into it so I'm off to a good start right now. turck should be done by april 1st.

If it wasn't 3000 mile alway.. I'd be there..

Some of us LS1Tech'er have meet at Reno's Hot August Night for the past two years at the local A&W. We have had lunch, talked and looked over each others swaps and conversions.

It was a small turn out two years ago with a hand full of us. Last Aug we meet again and a few more turn out.. Stu Cool and myself seem to be pushing it every year and hope we can push it to a larger turn out next year.

If you search on Hot August Nights.. there are a few threads and posts along with a few pictures of some of the conversions.

I'd like to hit Pleasanton this coming year, "Cool April Nights" in Redding is on my list also. Now that they screwed up my favorite "Cruisin' Paso" we'll be rearranging our schedule for 2008.

If I can get my car together, I'm up for something

Even debating a cross country adventure if the car proves reliable after the swap (and I can get the cruise working!)

Ide be down for a meet. I need to build the other car first though... haha. Expect that to be done VERY quickly after the weather breaks here in PA. Im usually at carlisle for the bigger events...so I might be in.

Also...there is a forum called Eastern Pennsylvania F-Body Assoc. The website is http://www.epfba.org/phpBB2/ Decent group of folks, some of which post on here as well. They organize, or atleast used to organize quite frequently. I never got to meet up because of my wreck

Im in chester county... Some places you might recognize are Coatesville, Downingtown, Exton... Those are all really close. West chester and King of Prussia are just a bit further.

I think Ive been in Myerstown before. There is a junk yard out there... Its not a you pull it type place, they pull the parts for ya. But they have all old or rare cars. I used to get parts for my 67 bonneville. I cant remember where that place was or the name. Maybe it wasnt myerstown. haha. Kutztown Road sticks out in my mind.

Cool

You guys could all just "split the difference", & meet in the Denver area - we've got some seriously cool mountain roads to play on...

getto sounds like your talking about greble they are 10 minutes from my place. they are a good place if you need old part's klinger's in pine grove is another.
I know right about were your at. i'm assuming your mot far from 30 and 100.
btw how soon are you looking to build your car? I'm hoping to start mine next month and finish it before summer. mine isn't going to be a pretty though I want it to look like a everyday beater and not give away any clues.
v8 rumble I'd be down for that as long as it get's planned well in advance so I could make it work. How about during hunting season then I can make the trip realy worth while.
