Default 6.0 Malibu Wagon..track time

a few pics of my project, 1983 malibu wagon, 2005 6.0, edelbrock cam and headers, Zex kit, 8.5" GN rear, th350, 10" converter. I had a carb kit on it last year but needed a new MSD box, I found the FI parts would be cheaper so decided to try that route. Luckily My brother does computer tuning (jay_lt4) so he did my program and cut down a factory harness.

they sell conversion mounts, I used the s-10 lsx mounts.

Its winter here, I havent had it on the road yet, here it is running. With the carb it had a real loppy idle, with the FI it purrs.

Sweet!!! I have a new motivation to finish my elky swap! Are those edelbrock longtube headers? If so, did they bolt right up without mods to the s-10 motor mounts or the headers?

Were you able to hook up the kick-down cable on the Turbo 350? I thought 2005 motors had the drive by wire throttle body?

I dont run a kickdown. The motor was out of a 2005, but I used the FI off a 2002, so its cable.

first dyno run
this is a stock truck 75mm TB-intake, small .540" cam, headers , zex ( only added 80hp at the wheels ??) 2.5" cheap thrush turbo mufflers. max timing was locked out at 24 degrees. untuned and very rich, shut it down at 6000 rpm.

Nice job! I see you used the S-10 mounts. How were the oil pan clearances? Did you use the truck pan? I'm putting a 2000 5.3 in my G-body (Monte Carlo), and I think I'll use the H3 pan. A lot of S-10 parts can be used on G-bodies, so I'll bet a lot of those conversion parts will fit as well.

my motor is set all the way back to the firewall. Stock truck pan clears fine, but does sit about 2" below the crossmember, but there is still 5" ground clearance.
