We have an item by item spreadsheet listed in our thread. It is for an LS1/T56 pullout into a 67 Camaro (search for Swap 67 Camaro). This should give you a good idea about the other stuff you need... I would still go the Gen III/IV route, but it will cost a little...

IMHO start with a clean slate like an LSX block from your favorite performance parts site if you want to go that route. Most of that pull-out will need to be replaced anyways to get to those numbers (Internals, top end, tranny, the list goes on and on).

You can get a forged 408 iron for around $4200 low compression. User 99BLANCOSS sells them here. That's cheaper than your dart block and rotating assembly.
Victor JR EFI intake about $400 with rails
injectors - 72lb something like $400?
speartech harness - $600 or so
miscellaneous sensors - $200
custom ground cam - $400
rockers - $400-$700
pushrods - $120
heads some nice ported 317s with springs- $1500-2500
gaskets, bolts and such - $400
Oil pan - $350-$600. I went with moroso, they have -10an remote mount oil filter lines, good for a turb setup
ATS mounts - $125
SBC urethane mounts - $60
water pump - $120 or so
alternater - $150 or so
ECM - $150 or so
tune for ECM - $300
fuel tank for efi or cell - $350-700
fuel pump - 200-1100 (for aeromotive A100 setup i think it is)
supercharger is around $3500
Hooker ceramic headers - $666 from jegs with gaskets and bolts
Should be able to see 700rwhp. Why not go turbo though? Wouldnt cost all that much more. You wouldnt need the $700 headers, you could use stock 01 truck manifolds bolted on upside down.
What transmission are you going to run? That determines a few other cost factors.
