Default ls1 foxbody

hello, in the middle of tearing my 79 mustang apart to put a ls1/t56 in it, was wondering if there are any sites that have this swap. thx!

the pic is the car when i first got it.. doesnt look like that anymore just dunno where to post pics lol.

I dig the 4 eye body style. There are lots of write ups for the swap with plenty of technical and install posts. Everyone does em just a little different than the last guy but in general they are all very common regardless of which route you choose.

Good luck with the swap - you won't regret it!

I went with the LS1/T56 also. But I just pulled it out last weekend in favor of a 6.0/Th350. Check out my sig. for build thread.Also, lt4malibu has a very nice 4 eyed ride too. I'm sure he will chime in, but you can look up his posts.

so what kit would you guys recommend? 150, 175, 200, or 225lbs? sorry if this sounds noob but ill mostly using the car as street daily driver, and weekend warrior i wanna really start getting this swap going thx for the help guys !!

haha. sorry I'm referring to "the must kit" aje has going on sale right now.. I am just not sure what springs to run. thx!

AJE is for drag racing, but what if you want to road race who would make a k-member that can hold out? Sorry dont mean to throw this thread off topic or hi-jack it lol

hmm, yeah i just checked out upr.. i'm guessing it would be better to go with the modular for street/strip as apposed to the aje k-member.

i drive my car all the time with the AJE, dont expect to go road racing or hit the SCCA course though... and i got the lightest springs possible for my car, call AJE they'll set you in the right drection.
