Does everyone's top leak?
I know everyone says that verts always leak, but is this true? Is everyone's top leaking? My window looks like it's making a good seal, but that **** steady drips. I know this is the inherent risk of owning a top, but most of my cars have been verts and not all of them leaked.

No leaks here. Owned the car since new and really take care of it with Raggtopp protectant and keeping the rubber seals soft and pliable. Just about to hit 44,000 miles. My '07 Mustang doesn't leak either. Both are garage kept.
Here is a recent post too that discussed it a little. https://ls1tech.com/forums/convertib...king-vert.html

Not sure what your asking:
But if I take my car to a spray wand type car wash, I get a lil leak on both sides by the door glass, lil trickles...But if I leave my car outside in the rain, I get no leaks.
But my top is relatively new other than my back glass section which is original (15yrs)

My top leaks a little when I go to the car wash or if there is a strong rain. I'm thinking I need to adjust my windows (if possible) to make a tighter seal. I got windows adjusted on a 85 vette and it doesn't leak at all now.

Well since I blew the motor, a few months back, it's been sitting. in that time, the rug has gotten wet so even just sitting there, it's leaking in. When i drive in the rain, it leaks at the corner where it meets the A-Pillar. Not sure where it's coming in, on the Pass side. The windows looks tight and sealed when up. I guess they need to be adjusted though.

I've got a 99 z28 with the original top. It's my daily driver and outside all the time. Driver's side leaked alot when raining, but if I apply my Gumi Phluge every couple of months, it doesn't leak at all. So, it seems that the best recourse, as long as the window is set properly is to keep the weatherstripping soft and pliable. Others here have used different products successfully too.

I can see maybe a little drip from above the windows but what would make the top leak unless it was pierced by something, high heels? Stiletto's maybe? Someone's having way to much fun in their car!
