Default Tips on Replacing carpet ??

So I have kicked around the idea of replacing my car's dirty old tan carpet.

I have a ebony carpet from T-TOP car, will this work?
Whats needed to remove the rear plastic panels by the seats?

Any other information of anything tricky I may run into is appreciated?

Thanks!

I used one form a coupe also, it fits. But needs to be trimmed on the sides because it is wider, also it's a pain in the butt to get up and over the seat belt brackets in the rear (which the carpet will have to be cut to go over them) and finally the carpet will c be a few inches short in the trunk.

Interesting! Never knew that. I always assumed that the convertible floor pan would be slightly different for bracing or something, and the coupe wouldn't fit.

Fbody96RS - you are the man!!!

This is exactly Info I was looking for.

About where does the carpet fall short on the gas tank?

Did you sew another piece of carpet on or just laid a square mat down that slp makes?

Did your replacement carpet come with the jute matting or did you swap from original carpet?

Stock oem 96 coupe carpet and backing'
No, I didn't add any carpet
It's about 3-4" form touching the trunk carpet piece I guess, I have some black spray in sound deadener lining my trunk so it's really not that noticeable anymore and I use my boot bag to cover it when at shows.
