Default Best oil on sale???

The local O'Reily's have Penzoil Platinum, Valvoline Synpower, and Castrol Syntec all on sale for 4.99 per qt. I normally run royal purple in my TA, this is my first oil change in the Vette, any suggestions or should i keep it RP?

Try German Castrol, it's easy to find (for me anyway), and has performed better on LS engines then the beloved rp (what i switched from) and Mobil 1.

I would stick with an oil that meets the GM-4718 oil spec for corvette engines. Pennzoil Platinum, regular Mobil1, and Castrol Edge all meet the spec. - Castrol Syntec does not. I personally would go with Edge 1st choice - Platinum 2nd choice - both excellent oils.

Ive always run German Castrol in my SS. I wouldn't run Royal Purple in my lawn mower never mind a vette. Search around for some UOA's and you'll see what i mean. To the OP all three of the oil's on sale would perform well.
