Exedy twin plate slipping, how much to get rebuilt ?
Anyone know how much you can get an exedy twin plate rebuilt for ? Mine has between 25 and 28,000 miles on it if memory serves. Anyways tonight at Milan Dragway after about 9 passes she let go after the last run was complete. I pulled up to the time slip booth and when I tried to take off to get back in line for another run she revved and didn't accelerate in correlation to the rpms. I let her cool down and no improvement. I packed it in for the evening and missed my chance to get a good trap with the cooling air temps. At any rate I made it home safely. Just not the same being unable to give her a hard stomp on the accelerator. Felt like reduced power even though the motor was running strong. Oh well, 2 weeks in a row at the track, something had to give. At least I improved 4 tenths in the 1/4 by doing a proper burnout. (11.98 last week to 11.59 this week) Now if I can just get a better 60. (1.94x best so far) Much better then the previous 2.18x's.

124.21 mph I actually think I let out a little early on that run too. Milans 1320 stripe is not as defined as the finish line as some tracks. All the adrenaline/nerves I may have let out just a bit. Reason I say this is because I have plenty of slips showing me pick up 33 mph or more in the second half of the track and on this one I only gained 28.5
Why would my better 60, better 1/8 cause me to lose on the big end. It should have added up everywhere. I think I let out a touch early. Who knows though. I talked to a buddy of mine, and we may be able to log some of my runs next time. Depends on his schedule.
For instance had I gained 33 mph that would've put me at 128.77 mph !!
Just glanced at my slips, I did 4 passes in just under 1 hr. Motor was a bit warm but felt strong as hell to me. How do N/A motors deal with heat soak ?

Thanks Pitt. I'll just have to chalk that up as another lesson learned due to inexperience. A little more cool down would've helped a lot I bet. Maybe I should hot wire the fans to bring the motor temp down quicker. Could be beneficial since I drive better hot lapping then sitting for 2 hrs between rounds. After 2 hrs my nerves are back. LOL. I know, Rookie.
