Default Help header install 99 vette

well installing some american racing headers on my 99 vette. And we cant get the passenger side in from the top or bottom. we pulled the starter and jacked the motor up much as we could. from top the ac line seems to be in the way. And from the bottom it catches on the block.

I haven't done AR headers but did you try it from the top with the coils and valve cover off? If not how about from the bottom with the motor mount loosened and the motor jacked up toward the driver's side?

Matter of fact, I just pulled my ARH headers out to put stock manifolds back in ( smog time here in cali) The passenger side slips in from the bottom. To install you have to shove it in damn near vertical with the collector pointed 90 degrees downward ( so make sure you have the car up high enough. After a few minutes of tussling and swearing it will nestle right in there.

The best way is a lot of cus words. lol. But ya try from the bottom with the motor jacked up so its tilted towards the drivers side and also if you dont have the starter removed, remove it. They are a PITA and just take some perssuian to get in there.

lol, I laughed as a 23 female tech apprentice did my LT header install at Corvettes of Houston.

It amazed me at how much a pain in the azz it would have been at my house, and how much she would have laughed at me. Did the complete header/x in 3 hours by herself. Would have taken me 2 days to do it.

I believe the driver side goes from the bottom, and the passenger from under. Good luck.
