Why is this better than the reguler location?? I may go with this setup to make some room for my single turbo setup..

how much is ECS alternator relocation kit??
How hard was the install??

THANKS FOR SHARING..

It was $150.00... the install was fairly easy, i had to modify the alt, and the bracket... all in all an easy kit to install

clean up the engine bay and make things easier to work on... i didnt like the alt in the factory location, and not to mention ditch my PS....

There are many times when you are fabbing up some custom go fast parts that this will help you. Guys that are looking to top mount twin turbo's, opens up a nice place for a vacuum pump, eliminates the need for a long belt if you are supercharged and went to manual steering, or whatever you choose. Be creative!

Splice that power wire at the fusable link on behind the passenger head and run it to your alt. Or just run your own power wire from the battery, tape that wire back up around the bell housing. Your mV probably goes down from the wire that your using from the original O-ring connection at the ALT.

Good relo but I dont see the point other then to clear stuff up, losing PS/AC on a C5 sounds rediculous.

thanks for the tip speed density.....

i did it to clean up the engine bay.... nothing more nothing less.... p/s and a/c i could careless about those accessories...

It's not a mod that we expect to be for the masses, but those who need it, have the specific reasons that make it very useful.
