Building a stout C5 diff with factory C6 Z06 parts
I thought I share some upgrade build pics of a C5 diff with C6 Z06 diff parts. This diff belongs to one of the forum members. That is about all I'm going to say.
I start with the main case
These are RPM micro polished 4.10 gears
You have to see it in person how nicely polished this is
These are the parts from the C5 diff that will be used
The case and covers ready to be assembled
All the GM factory parts laid out
The C6 Z06 parts ready to be assembled
The pass side 2 piece assembled
The pass side clutches assembled
Both clutches and case halves assembled
The case mounted on a GM Kent Moore fixture
The carrier seembly in and pass side cover torqued
New seals and covers installed!

Yes, the C6 Z06 clutches, left and right shafts and the pinion carrier is much bigger than C5 stuff. Click here some comparison pictures.
