Default Will I Have Any Issues Using The Nitto NT05R Drag Radial On My C5 Z06?

I have a C5 Z06 lowered a bit on stock bolts (not much at all) and I am going to pick up some new tires before TX2k11 and was wondering if anyone has had any fitment issues with the Nitto NT05R Drag Radial I am running the 315/40-18. The only thing I am scared of is the tire height and hope this will not effect the active handling.

I really want to pick these up as a buddy that works at DT can hopefully hook it up for me. And they have really great reviews.

Link to tires.

According to the tire conversion calculator the diff is only about 1 1/4in taller than a tire that fits good. So thats only 5/8ths of an inch closer to the fender/wheel well.
I don't have active handling so I'm not sure how sensitive that is.. maybe just a little larger front tire while your at it??

315/35/18 = 26.7x12.4/18

315/40/18 = 27.9x12.4/18

You shouldn't have any problems at all. I have the same size tire on my 04 C5Z. The only complaint I have is the ride quality.

Edit - I just reread your post. What size front are you going to run? This 315/40-18 is 2.6" taller than the stock 265/40-17 front tire which is a pretty sizable difference that the active handling/traction control might not like. I did a quick search and the rears need to be at least 1/2" taller than the fronts but not sure how much taller than the fronts you can go.

That's a 1.2" difference b/w front and back. I run a 1.1" difference between the two and I have no issues...I would assume you would probably be ok. I think if it does have issues you can just turn off traction control.
