Default C6 Z06 price in the future

Do you guys think the new C6 z06 will stay at the 60K+ mark for the next 4 years or more? Or will the 06 Z06s be in the 30s by 2009-2010?

I for one think they will retain most of there value, since the z06 is now a full fledged exotic and is faster then most ferraris and lambos.

It will drop just like other newer cars. It may have exotic performance, but it's not an exotic. Someone shopping a Ferrari or Lamborghini doesn't shop a Z06.

I think it will drop a little but not as much as we all want them to. I think it will be a long tme before they are in the 30k range.

Just like the ZR1's it will drop and if the Blue Devil is released as rumored then the drop will happen even faster. I do believe the ones that drop below $20-5k will be the exception not the rule when they do bottom out in about 8yrs. Look at low mile ZR1's now. Holding their value pretty well and some are increasing.

They will drop if chevy builds them in high enough quantities. If they only build them for 3 or 4 years and come out with another model that doesn't have the aluminum frame and other trick parts then they might hold their value more than we think. The engine production is limiting how many cars they can build. If they start putting a supercharger on the L92 engines and come out with the standard car only supercharged I can see them stopping production of the Z06 as it is now configured. The first z06 was 5 to 6 thousand a year and had a standard frame and production line engine. This one is only 3000 per year as I understand it.

I believe that the price will drop, but not as much as the C5's simply due to the numbers of C6Z06's that are being produced. Now, if GM begins to mass produce them, then yea, the price will drop fairly well. That being said, I don't think they'll be in the 30's for quite some time.

How many made in 2006, 700?

I think the best you can find one now is $65,000.

In three years I bet we will be talking $55K as the best deal out there.

Do you think the Aluminum frame is that advantageous over the steel frame?

I'm hoping to see one for $40K-$45K in 5 years.

Z06s hold their value very well, just think about the price of C5 Z06s now- pretty hard to find a good low miles one under $30,000. And they started out cheaper, were produced in much larger numbers, and have 100 less horsepower.

I'd say start saving right now... I already have! But I'm shooting much lower- like for a C5 FRC or Z06 in 5 years.

I'm not clear on how many they made for this year, I heard 700, then I heard 5,000.

If it's the latter, we'll see them dip down to high 50's in the next few years. My guess is that folks will drive them even less than the last gen Z06, so they will have on average fewer miles on them.

it's got to be more than 700 since if it's only 700 then more than 10% of the cars are in my area. I read somewhere that it was maybe around 2000 and 1/3 of them went overseas.
