installed Vararam and CF tube
Hey guys just got done installing a Vararam intake and a Carbon Fiber intake tube on my vette. The vararam was a lot harder than I thought to install, but the end finish made it worth it. You can totally here it sucking in the air now. Plus that intake tube is nowhere as restrictive as the stock one is. Wish I could take it for a cruise but not in a blizzard. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Well I am getting a set of black rims/with polished lip for the car, so those and then lowering it an inch on stock bolts. Otherwise trying for some 11's this year at the track with et streets. I know the car is good for it, the only thing is if I am that good for it, lol!

Thanks all.
I think it took me around 2 hours. It took a while to do since I was not sure what to do or take off. My first vette, so was not sure how everything went together. They did tell me to fit everything then go back and tighten everything back down. I said screw that, lol. It worked out great. Saved a bunch of time that way. Now that I know the way to put them in, plus cut some corners I could have it done probably a half hour sooner.

I'm just curious why you didn't go with a blackwing, the K/N FIPK, Honker or Stinger, I like the Vararam also but hoping people with the kits can help me narrow my choices.

I love the Honker but I will never buy product from Callaway.
Oh gosh, they are stuck up.

I love K&N but when I read you have to cut your upper radiator support to get it to fit I was pissed, it's SMOG legal but I don't want to break out a dremmel. Zip tie mod also is out for me, just seems cheap (even though I know that's the point of the zip tie mod)

I guess to each his own they all seem effective in there own ways whether on the dyno or on the street and after reading how many air intake threads on this site as well as corvetteforums I still haven't seen any evidence as to which one is better than the other each has its pros and cons that balance out in the end.

I even looked on Z06vette.com. Plus it depends on the kind of money you are willing to drop in for a CAI. Some of those are really expensive. Mine with the Vararam and the intake tube cost me $605. Took me a little bit but found some good deals on those two.
