C6Z06 or SRT10 vert
Wow what a great time to be a car lover...
Back in 2004 I bought a 2004 C5 for 52K..I was truly in love with the corvette..
But I sold it... and later on in 2007 I bought a 2003 SRT10 Viper for 51K..
well Iwrecked theViper...
Here I am in 2008..the market is SOOO SOFT....
Write now I have the two following cars being offerred to me..
Blue 2006 C6Z06 with 25K miles with corsa Exhaust and callaway air intake ( 47K)
yellow 2005 SRT10 vert with 7K miles and is bone stock (47K)
Well I love the C6Z06 and I love the SRT10..Both for slightly differant reasons..The Z06 is a lil faster while the SRT10 is a lil nicer lookin and more rare...then the C6Z06 is more comfortable while the SRT10 has a lil nicer interior/engine bay..
Anyways...what would you choose between to such awesome cars at such a cheap price..
JUST 12 MONTHS AGO YOU COULDNT TOUCH A C6Z06 OR 2005 SRT10 FOR UNDER 58k!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2006 coupes are still hovering around 60K....12K more for a coupe is a hell of a lot more money just for a hard top and otherwise the same car as the vert..So vert it is for me...Keep the responses coming..so far Z06 by a land slide

well ima say go for the c6z06 but then again this is an LSx site so you will probably have alot of people going for the vette. But then again 06Z06 > 05Viper performance wise.so yeah..

My buddy brought is 2007 yelloh Z06 to my house yesterday and did a demonstration for my wife..It was funny as hell cuz we were all drunk after singing Kareoke at a bar together.....He was like a car salesman...But the vette dose have a few things over the Viper..For one he said the car got around 25 mpg..Thats about 10 more than the Viper...Normally I wouldnt give a crap about gas mileage..But with prices expected to be around $5 per gallon he made some valid points. Also I do miss the HUD in my 04 Vette and the C6Z06 has that as well....
Im starting to lean towards it but my viper buddies are pretty pissed offf at me

Good situation to be in.....
The Z06 is faster, but I do enjoy being in a vert..... plus the Viper has it in the looks and is more rare.
The market will be soft for some time and I'm sure you will be able to get into whatever you want for some time, I would look into the resale value, cuz chances are you will be getting into something else in 24 months.
I hate to say it, but get the Viper now and go back to the Vette in the future.

There seem to be a lot of wrecked Vipers. I don't think people can control all that torque and primitive handling.
Drive both and pick, don't let other people make up your mind for you.

I have no idea what your deal was with the other two vipers totalled. Who knows, third time is a charm! But the viper 'verts are hideous creatures. They looked sweet in the coupe though. Do what you gotta do.

Thanks guys...If the C6Z06 was yellow or red or black I would be sold at this point. But the blue just isnt doin it for me...I may just pass them both up till I fing a C6Z06 in the color I want or a 2008 coupe Viper when I can afford one.I really want an 08 Viper....But till they come down to around 60K in a year or so I cant afford it...
the C6Z06 is close performance wise and more in my price range..Oh well..
Any of you seen the jet stream blue C6Z06...What do you think of that color?

I would almost take the Viper, since it has alot less miles and is more unique. I just couldn't buy a car without being able to take the top off someway, as much as I love the Z06.
