I got to test my new LCAs at the track.
I recently installed some non-adjustable poly mount LCAs and relocation brackets. I had some issues with them, but thus far they seem to be resolved.
However: I had a chance to test them out at the track. Unfortunately, the track was poorly prepped and cold (started around 50* and by the time I left it was 32*). The track was very slippery and no one could really get good traction. But out of all this, I have a new personal best:
60': 2.307
1/8: 8.822
1/8 MPH: 85.25
1/4: 13.364
1/4 MPH: 109.46
My 60' was horrible and I really did nothing but spin (which is evident from my mph) but yet I ended up with a better time overall.
My previous best (before the lcas and relocation brackets) was:
60': 2.198
1/8: 8.758
1/8 MPH: 83.70
1/4: 13.385
1/4 MPH: 105.74
Overall, I'd say the LCAs and relo brackets did help. I think I'd need better tires to judge this more seriously. The good part was that there was no wheel hop, but the bad part was all the spinning.

Yeah, it helps just overall with traction. Before when I would shift it would break loose a little and the rear would shoot to the side. Now it goes forward with less spin. My only indication besides that, that these LCAs were actually doing something is the 60' comparison between both runs. One is crap on a cold track (the better one) the other is good, with better street tires on a hot track in july. Nothing power-wise has been altered on the car. I'm thinking once it warms up outside, I should be able to get more out of it.
