Took my new LS1 to the track tonight

Default Took my new LS1 to the track tonight

Picked me up a BONE STOCK 2000 A4 Z28 monday and got out to the track tonight!! Im running about the same as everyone else seems to be doing so im happy and let the mods begin!!

2.0 60 ft

8.844 @ 72.51 1/8 mile

13.62 @102.47 1/4 mile


Does this seem right guy??

1/8 should be very high 70s or bottom 80s..

30mph on the back end! Are you sure you 1/8 mph isn't 82mph? Nice time though

picked up a SLP lid a K&N filter today and cut my air box out to flow more today. will see how much difference it made soon.

That's a good 60 ft for rain tires on a stock car, very nice!
The trap speed does seem a bit low to me though; my car and my wife's '01 Z28 (both autos with 2.73 gears) went 105 in decent air when all stock. What was the weather like? And at what elevation is the track?

Seems within reason, other than the 1/8 MPH as others have mentioned. Don't forget tune up stuff: plugs, wires, fuel filter, clean the MAF, etc.

elevation here is low no more than 100 ft above sea level. it was really humidy though and probably 89 degrees. going to clean the MAF when i pulled the stock box off there was dirty on the inside and change the plugs and wires. i have a slight spark knock above 4500-5000 rpms. going to try this and go back.
