Congrats to Magnum GTO!!! FIRST Nitrous Powered Late Model GTO in the 8s!!!!
The phrase "Its been a long time coming" comes to mind as I write this post!!! Long time customer and friend Jan Ruble (Magnum GTO on the forums) finally broke into the 8s last weekend at SGMP.
Here is the breakdown. Ill update the post with the actual timeslip next time Jan stops by the shop.
60ft- 1.35
This ET/MPH makes Jan the quickest/fastest Late model GTO in the world. Jan has also held the 60' record for an IRS GTO for a bit over two years running a 1.31 60ft with an 8.8 IRS differential.
Its also worth mentioning that of the three GTOs currently running 8 second ETs Jan is the only one doing so using nitrous. Both of the other GTOs are forced induction
There is more in this combo and we hope to improve on the ET/MPH in a few weeks!!! Stay tuned
I have to mention the following manufacturers as we could not have accomplished our goal of running 8s in full trim without them!!!
Here are a few recent videos I do have of Jan making some hits.....

Thanks for posting this milestone Ron! As you said, it has been a long tough task.
But then, you can say that about anything worth accomplishing.
BTW
Be sure to add Nick Williams to the list of major contributors.
Nick's help and throttle body were BIG assets to the cause.
