Default Results with bolt-on C5Z

First time drag racing last week. Went to Capitol TnT in Maryland. Arrived around 6pm when temps were around 80 degrees. Hot lapped the car a few times just to become familiar with everything.

The car is a 04 C5Z fully lowered on stock bolts, vararam intake, XS power 1 3/4 longtubes with cats and 3" midpipe, borla straights, dyno tuned by John @ Broadview Auto in Warrenton Va (393rwhp/390 ftlbs), RKT built 3.42 rear, ecs trans brace, mantic twin disc, RSD Shortened C6Z shifter, 275/40/17 NT05R on c5z wheels, with 19" CCWs in the front. Car had about 3/4 tank of gas. No power shifting although ive done it on the street, I figured I had enough to focus on.

First pass after arriving after being in traffic for about 90 minutes(I'll leave out the R/T as I wasn't leaving off the light):
Tire pressure set at 20lbs and leaving around 3500rpm
60' 1.972
330 5.350
1/8 8.082@ 91.02
1000' 10.392
1/4 12.342 @ 115.81

I proceeded to run between 12.3-12.4 for a couple of passes while I became more acclimated.

After a brief cool down I then dropped tire pressure to 17 lbs and tried launching at 5k rpms. 1.752 60" but then I missed 3rd.

Next pass:
Tried launching from 5.5k rpm and bogged.
60' 1.926
330 5.268
1/8 7.985@92.35
1000 10.285
1/4 12.226@118.03

2nd to last pass, 8 minutes after previous pass:
Launched at 5K rpm with no spin off the line from what I could tell.
60' 1.788
330 5.090
1/8 7.790@92.90
1000 10.085
1/4 12.025@ 117.99

Last pass was a grudge race against a stock 5.0 with 3.73 and Hoosier DRs that had ran the week before a time of 12.345@112 with a 1.687 60'. He left on the 2nd bulb and red lighted lmao. I reeled him in and got up to his door by the time we crossed the finish. Track accident allowed a good cool down beforehand. Temperature was around 72 @ 10pm. Launched at 5k rpm again with no spin off the line.

R/T .435
60' 1.793
330 5.101
1/8 7.805@92.77
1000 10.110
1/4 12.051@ 118.12

All in all a great experience. My next trip will be to MIR or Cecil County with far less gas and the experience I gained from my first trip. I'll probably start doing some no lift shifts next time as well.

For your first time NOT BAD AT ALL. I've got a lot of seat time in C5Z, so I have posted what a good vs new driver might run.
My opinion is that running a 1.60 for most C5Z drivers is very good and repeatable. Low 1.5s is really good driver. 1.4s and you better get lotto tickets if you repeat that back to back. One off's don't count.

Once you hook better, it will go fast MPH wise too as more time to accelerate under power. DO NOT power shift that trans unless you got a lot of $. its not worth much anyway. For your car its all in the 60ft.

Some 3.90 gears and a fast intake would put you well into the 11's.

Congrats on the passes.

Always fun/frustrating first time out in a car.

With more seat time you have 11's no problem in that car!
