Default Took my GTO to the, N/A and Nitrous...

Awhile ago I took my GTO to the track N/A. (my results here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...s-ago-gto.html) This time I went back with the only changes being a different tune, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, SD Tuned, and 15x8 drag wheels w/ 235/60/15 MT ET Streets @ 14 PSI for N/A. And for Nitrous i'm running a Nitrous Outlet 150 shot plate kit with an LNC-2000.

I started off doing N/A runs. Didn't get much better than before and a lot of it was due to traction. Not sure if it was just the track or that Nitrous converter killing me. I couldn't get better than a 1.7 - 1.8 60fts N/A. I was hoping the 15" drag radials with more sidewall would help me hook up better but they didn't hook any better than my 18's did. I did get a PB N/A time though...

60'... 1.762
330... 5.066
1/8... 7.816
MPH... 88.97
1000... 10.204
1/4... 12.224
MPH... 111.20

After a few N/A runs I decided to spray her for the first time ever at the track. I know I had very little bottle left since my dyno session (https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...rous-runs.html) with 3 pulls and various testing in my garage. My bottle pressure was deep into the green almost in the red which I believe is 1200? My results...

60'... 1.665
330... 4.661
1/8... 7.167
MPH... 98.12
1000... 9.321
1/4... 11.143
MPH... 123.16

That run felt great! I didn't expect it to run that fast. Checked the bottle again. All I could get the pressure up was and it was around 925 ish. Decided to give it another shot figuring it wouldn't run near as fast. That time I ran a 11.4 @ 118 w/ a 1.6. It fell flat on its face on top end. I believe the bottle ran out 3/4 down the track. I know after that run I couldn't purge anymore nitrous out of the bottle.

Nothing record breaking, but I'm happy with it. I'm hoping I can get into the 10s with some tweaking here and there. I think 275/50s will be needed and my line lock finally installed so I can do a better burnout for starters. I might even consider having my turn on point come on sooner than 3500 rpms since i'm launching out of the hole at 2500 rpms. Not sure what else yet.

Here is my mod list for reference...

12 mph gain on a 150 shot sounds about right to me. Nice work

Something isn't right. Only trapping 111mph on motor is a red flag. IMO.

I've heard some people say it's low I've heard it's right. It is what it is, that's all I can say. Car has been gone through enough to chase an issue that isn't there.

My opinion, it's the converter that does it. It's a nitrous/boost speced converter. Converters can make all the difference in the world.

Very true about the converter. Regardless, I'm sure the car is a blast and a beast on spray
