Took my 2017 C7 Z06 to the track
Ran my 2017 A8 for the first time last night. Car had 800 miles on it. Have the Borla mid pipe, ported tb, Green filter in stock air box and drag radials.
Got up to 5* of kr. via my HP Tuner. Apparently the Green filter flows pretty good leaning my fuel. Never got kr on the street with the stock filter. And without tuning to turn the fan on sooner my intake manifold temps got up to 153*.
But maybe not too bad of a pass considering.

I would have to think it would help but just getting the throttle 100% open at launch would help too. Takes until 32.3 mph before it was 100% open. Of course tuning would fix that hopefully along with faster fan speed to get those temps down.
First column is vehicle speed, second engine oil temp, then tranny fluid temp, manifold air temp (IAT2) too high, fan speed too slow, engine rpm, engine coolant too high and throttle % open 100% at 32.3 mph.
Looked back at one of my 08 C6 passes and throttle was 100% open at less than 1 mph. Can really feel this hesitation at launch with the 2017.

Not sure on the tranny temp. I know in cool air you would have to drive a long way to get it much more than about 125*. It just doesn't seem to warm idling. And I did that for about an hour in the staging lanes but with the engine off some of the time.

Seems like a strong pass with all the nannies lurking in the pcm. If you can get those worked out through tuning it should definitely show on the next time slip.

And thats something because that is already a nice 60ft time for being stock (and on reduced power). I wonder, getting all the throttle is surely gonna start giving some traction problems? Or is there a good traction control program built into the car that could manage the new found power? Or maybe a set of tires in in your future.......
