Default New PB 11.60@119.31

Went to Gulfport dragway last night and I could not believe it the track Hooks like a **** now. My car was the same as it had been for the last 3 years and I decided to try some weld pro stars on the front and 26x11.5x16 et streets on rear .

Went first pass to run 11.76 @118.30 mph 1.73 60 ft.
2nd pass 11.74 @118.30 mph with a 1.72 60 ft
3rd pass 11.73 sith a 1.72 same mph
4th pass Ben (ou812/z28) told me the car was lifting the driverside wheel and the pass side rear was dipping real hard. I remembered that I had an air bag in the r.rear coil so I put 11.5 lbs in it and went for another pass
11.65 @119.1 with a 1.65 60 ft and packed the front tires about 3 inches off the ground.
5th pass 11.65 almost Identical for the whole pass
6 th pass , I was told to go back to tech to check for nitrous and I found that the spare tire and jack was still in there so I pulled it out and went another pass. 11.60 @119.31 mph 1.65 60 ft.
Only bad part was I was trying so hard to get the new best even in the bad weather that I sucked on the tree. I am happy with the skinnies and will be my next mod for sure. I shed 62 lbs off the nose from my 17 inch forgelines. 20 lbs off the rear with salad shooters and et streets from my forgelines. so the car was roughly 3640 with me in it. Not bad for a c1 cam and mild port work

DA ranged from 1302 + when I was running 11.7's down to 945+ when I ran 11.60. Not bad for a pig(3640) small cam and very little work done on heads. the biggest change was to 2.02 int valves and stock exh valves.
Heads flow a max of 257@.600 lift and .256 @.500int.
exh flow 219@.600 though

Thanks guy's. I threw the combination together 2 years ago and at the time no one was useing big cams or split patterns and the heads was not going to happen if Diomond engines here in hammond could not get to them. THere was no money left from when my head gasket blew on a stock moter with 8900 miles on it and they voided my warenty for ls6 intake and subframe connectors and air bag in right rear coil.
I had to replace the block so I went with the ls6 block and from there , everything was on a very tight budget. I even bought Mac headers because the only other options at the time were FLP"s and that price was out of my leauge.
Not bad for picking and choosing for what would give the best price and not the most horse power.

Also , I thought the heavy chrome moly drive shaft I bought would slow me down do to added weight and it did not hurt a thing. That puts about 10 or so lbs on top of the 3640 as I did not add that in.

Over all, I was thinking of going with a bigger cam but now that is running like this I am going to just leave it alone. The new rule to run 11.50 with out a cage fits me perfect and I am not going to put a cage in this car. me and 3 kids like to ride in it to much.
