Thanks everyone.
WOW! What a week. 1st my Boys/Girls wrestling teams win the District 23 Texas High School championships and I win the 1st race of the 2005 racing season.
We(My Dad, Madman & I) went out to Lone Star for some TnT and run the heads up 6.70 index class. This class rans on a .400 pro tree. Damn, is it hard to cut a good light with a footbrake car.
Well, after adding weight we got the car to run a damn near perfect run. A 6.707 at 102 mph. We are ready for 1st round.
1st race I killed the guy on the tree. Easy win at the big end. I run a 6.79 to his 6.74
2nd round. WOW! what a race at the starting line. We both staged and the timing system hit a very fast light. We were both late but I somehow pulled off a better light and shut the car down at the big end(didn't want to breakout. I run a 6.71 to his breakout 6.64
3rd round. Cut a good light this round and again shut the car down at the big end. I run 6.74 to his 6.80.
Final round. Madman and I asked the guy if he wanted to split the prize money 60% to the winner, 40% to the runner up. He said, lets run "Winner take all". We said. "Hell Yea lets race".
The final was won on the tree folks. I cut a .060 light to his .565. At the big end I ran a 6.79 to his 6.80. This index series puts a $100.00 bounty on the last race winner. It was really sweet to get the bounty money(extra $100.00) on the other guy in the final. Now, the next race I will have a $100.00 bounty on me. 1st person to put me out of the race gets $100.00. This is COOL!
I want to thank My wonderful wife, Madman/JBZ race cars, My Dad and Thunder Racing for all your help. I couldn't do this without ya'll.
