Default Went to the track tonight (1/8th)

Well tonight my parents, myself and my fiance all went down to Hertford to watch my uncle run. My dad talked me into running. I've never run any car at the track before, so I was a little nervous

Best run of the night was a 8.96 @ 82.1 w/ a 2.18 short time. Best MPH was 82.5. I think with a little more seat time I can break some 8.80's. With that MPH I should be in the mid 13's. Not bad IMO. Only performance mod I have is an air lid. What's hurting me is my heavy *** 17x9.5/17x11 wheels.

I had a lot of **** in the car too, but that's enough with excuses. I had a blast.

Oh yeah my uncle went 5.40 @ 129.

Mods are SLP lid, Spohn STB, 1LE Front Swaybar and 17x9.5/11 ZR1's.

Congrats and it sounds like you had alot of fun. Practice and taking all the extra stuff out of the car and you will run low 8's in the 1/8th for sure. What kinda car does your uncle race?

Thanks man. That trap is around the same as a couple friends of mine that are running 13.3's and 13.5's, so I'm happy with the results in a fully loaded TA. I love the way my wheels look, but compared to stock they're killing my MPH according to my butt dyno.

My uncle has a full tube chassis El Camino with a 632 mountain motor ~1500HP N/A with a 300 shot. He's never sprayed it. I'd like to see what she'll do on the spray.

I'll post some pics of it when I get home.

Good to see someone else heading out to Northeast Dragway. It's not a bad track at all. Also, nice runs for your first time out considering it was kinda hot yesterday. The next time you're heading down let me know and I'll head over there as well. I think there are a lot of us in this general area that go to that track. Maybe we can all hook up one day.

Thanks guys for making me feel a little better haha. I'd kinda like to ditch these wheels and tires and see if I can pick up some MPH. I figured if I can hit a 2.0 60' I may hit some 8.80's.

Smokinstorm I'll let you know. My uncle runs down there about every weekend.

Here's a picture of his car for those that wanted to see it. I'm sure if you've been down there you've seen it.
