1ST RUN!!! Advice please.
Well I got whooped by everybody at the track, including a fast 92 rustang. I am very satisfied with my times though. My car is a 2002 camaro SS A4 All stock except the install university mods of free ram air, and mass air port. I run bf goodrich 275/40's which spinned like a SOB. My best was 13.562 @ 103.684 but the other 5 passes were 13.6_ _ @ 102._ _ altitude, well were in louisiana, so close to sea level, but 100 plus degree temp. The rustang ran 13.2 he pulled me by about 3 cars, he was running 331 stroker, MT drags, and tremec with mac shorties and high rise, and 3.73's. My best 60 was 2.002 and average 1/8 was 8.850 The car shifted third about 200 ft from the finish line everytime and bogged. I'm thinking that 3.73's would fix this. Overall with a stock car, I am very satisfied, even with street tires and spinning for a long ways it did well, and was super consistant with the E/T's What would be the cheapest way of putting this sucker in the high 12's without running NOS? Feedback is appreciated, will have video later. Thanks

Thanks!!!! Would a 3.73 and maybe a cam get it there?
I was launching at a very high RPM, in fact as much as it would go without spinning, on a couple of launches it was spinning a little prior to launching, I think the temps hurt. Regardless I had alot of fun today, and although, the mustang beat me, he had put 6000 in the drivetrain, I havn't put a penny in mine, and he was just 4/10 or so faster than me. I am very happy with my LS1

If you want to go 12's fast get a tire and a converter. Some more bolt on would help you get there quick too but tire and converter would do it with a tire. Also a cam swap is not bad you can gewt all you need to do one for about 1000 which isnt bad. plus labor unless you do it.
