Vengeance Racing built 416 hits the track running LOW 10s first time out!!!
First off contratulations to Mike Brown (SlowETz). This was his first time out with his new combo.
Car: 2000 TA WS6
Owner/Driver-Mike Brown Aka SlowETz
Engine:
SDPC 416 shortblock built to Vengeance spec
TrickFlow 225cc cylinder heads
Vengeance Custom Camshaft -254/254 .598/.598 112+4
Cometics/ARP
Vengeance Ported FAST
BlueMaxx 90mm/Whisper Airbox
Kooks 1 7/8 with Custom True Duals
Drivetrain:
Yank Prepped TH400
Yank 3600 Stall (too small for motor, but should work well on the upcoming nitrous hit )
3" Steel Driveshaft
Moser 12 bolt w/posi
Suspension:
Hals on all four corners
Wolfe Drag Bar
Madman Torque Arm
Spherical rod end double adjustables in the rear
Race weight- 3585 with driver
The graph below was made 3 days before the race just doing a final check of the motor...
This combo was built to be street driven on pump gas...
Here is one of the runs from this past Sunday @ Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds Georgia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRCyDctihIg
Weather was around 68*/Humidity 52%/DA calculated to about 1600+
60ft was a 1.61 LOTS of room for improvement there. We just need to tweak the suspension a bit and get Mike some more seat time...
Congrats again Mike!!

Posted up in the dyno section and thought I'd post over here while I was at it-
Thanx for posting up for me Ron! Having trouble at both home/jobsite with the scanner/UL's last couple days.....
Just for the record guys, this combo Vengeance put together really is a sweet piece. I asked for pump gas friendly 500/500rw. motor capable of 10.70's at my weight and they more than gave it to me.
We ended up w/550rwhp-505rwtq(locked)through a hungry driveline and an ET/MPH that backed up the graph(several times)...... with what appears to have a bit more in it once I get things sorted out.
This thing feels great off the line and seems like it never stops pulling hard all the way through(and beyond)the lights.
Started out the day w/an 11.50@126 off the trailer, and within 8 passes had whittled it down to a 10.359/132.74 just playing with the shocks and tire pressure.
I really feel like if we'd had more time to play w/the TA-PA, it may have dropped the lazy 60' we were seeing all day(1.605) to get it closer to the magic number 9, although the suspension seemed to be working well. Only pulled the wheels a couple inches, but held the nose up all the way down the track. The tires seem to be working well.... spinning them on the rims 6"+.
The lazy 60' may be a function of the baby converter and pewter pig's race weight, but we'll play with it until we stop picking up ET before we make any hard part changes.
All in all, I had a fukin' BLAST, and can't wait for next weekend!
Thanx for the kind words guys!

Thanx-
With the current MPH, I feel like it's got 10.00's in it just getting the 60' down another .2 or so with current tight converter(ss3600).
More seat time will help a bunch.
Prolly need something in the 4400+ range to see much more improvement than that on motor..... car is still on the heavy side of the scale-

That is a show car engine compartment. Just beautiful. I wish mine looked like that. I'm glad some of the Vengeance built cars are finally hitting the track running good numbers. BTW, if you're gonna spray the car, don't worry about the converter. If you want more on the motor, a 4000-4500 converter is probably worth at least .2-.3 in the 1320. Good luck with it no matter.
