Default 01 SS M6. SLP lid,bellows,cold air&LM2

prevoius best:

13.32 @ 107.3 w 2.17 60ft bone stock

added the lid, bellows, cold air and catback but no mph gain?

3 runs: all from 80*F down to 74*F. no humidity

13.24 @ 107.3 2.11 60ft

13.21 @ 106.8 2.20 60ft

13.14 @ 107.5 2.15 60ft

all done slipping the clutch out at about 3k. 1/8mph each around 84-85

seems like i shoulda gained about 2-3mph no?

all comments welcome.

You and me are running pretty close. You've got a couple more induction mods than me. We're pretty close though. My 13.25 was before the tune I got this past saturday.

i agree you are definately close to me, although i heard the induction mods i have over you don't really do much.

i'm basically wondering why i didnt gain any mph when i did the mods. certainly pisses me off when i see my freinds Z28..same year, same mods, same day, trap 110 when you know you can shift quicker, launch better and still trap 3mph slower.

he doesnt have the SLP cold air or smooth bellows but has the tb bypass freemod and an 85mm TB.

How are the weather conditions on your best pass compared to now? Remember that good air could be a couple tenths that you won't get in spring/summer air, and since our cars usually pick up air from the track surface, a warmer track surface can mean less ponies.

I'd consider a tune as well if you haven't already planned on one.

the 13.32 pass was exactly a year ago, just days after i bough the car.. same weather too. high 70s to low 80s no humidity. maybe ill change the plugs do an oil change and make sure all is bolted down well. i never drilled those two screws in on the cold air duct but i figured the whole lid/filter assembly would keep it held down tightly. oh well.

bs that he traps 3+ mph over me lol!
