Well for starters your 60 is way off. On DRs you should be in at least the 1.8s which would have probably helped you hit a high 12 or so just like you sit. I usually figure about 2 tenths for the heat (some cars more some less) so that puts you around 12.7s. One more thing, if you are running a stock stall did you try and stage the car or did you leave off idle? I just watched my brother in law run a 13.7 this weekend with a 2.06 60ft when leaving from an idle (car is stock minus catback and lid, 170k miles). He went back for run two and decided to stall it up and once again he hooked and then he ran a 13.85 with a 2.1 60ft. So both passes he hooked great but the 2nd pass was slower. Basically what happened was when he left off idle the converter flashed and it kind of sling shotted him forward which netted a better 60. When he staged the car the 2nd pass the converter was already at max and gave him no forward launch due to it not flashing which netted a slower 60 and 1/4 mile time. Keep practicing your launch, get a converter if it's in your budget and find your groove. Good Luck!

I was power braking to 1600 rpms, so far what ive been told was to get a better tune, and get a converter. It felt like I hooked off the like but the 1-2 shift is a kick in the butt, I felt it slip a bit during that shift.

Well, I hope this helps. I went back and looked for my Beech Bend trip when I took my 2002 WS6. I could not find the slips but I did find my time slips when I took the car to Norwalk, Ohio for the Pontiac Nationals.
Here is what the car ran in August at Norwalk the track is around 1,000 ft elevation and is a little slower then beech bend. My car ran 13.06 at Beech bend.
2.003 60 ft, 5.166 330 ft, 8.524 ET 1/8 mile at 84.92, 11.005 1,000 ft and 13.101 ET at 107.62 MPH. The car is a six speed and I was leaving at 2,800 RPM's. The only mods were Nittos DR, Air Lid, K&N Filter and the spare tire and jack removed but the car does have bolt on SLP sub frame connectors and a drive shaft saftey loop so I would say there was no weight removed from it.
I would expect a stock LS1 auto with stock convertor to trap a little less, but yours is by no means stock!

I will say from exsperience, your at least .3 & 3 mph slower do to the heat & humitity on a pukey summer night from a good crisp fall/winter night, your 60ft. is for ****, your throwing away a solid .5 right there, so thats a 12.7 @ 108 in the good air on some 1.8 60fts., i'de say nothings wrong with it other then needing a good stall & a cool night.

yeah I called diablo and they even told me I should find someone with efi live or hp tuners, once you upgrade the internals its time to get a better tune, thats was from one of there techs. as for a stall im thinkin yank or vig in the 3200 range to help maintain some streetability (15-45 mph on post)

The heat and humidity does hurt ET and MPH usually around .30 and 3mph in 90* air but your MPH should be better in the heat. The tune is probably off , thats a good sized cam for a 346 and should get some good MPH in the 1/4.
A 3200 stall would drive nice for around town and also help alot with your 60's.

You are correct about most of what you said above! However the times I posted on my 2002 WS6 were in August. The car ran 1.88 60 ft times at 12.75 at 109.80 in good weather so I would say that most of his issues are traction and tune. He has a lot done to the car and for sure a stall would help very much. With the car like it is I would say it would run around 12.90's as it is in good weather!

YES!
My Formula with the stock 92K mile engine with headers, tune and LS1 intake weighed 3,665 pounds and ran 13.10's with ET Streets and stock transmission including stock converter when I changed transmissions and installed the stall converter it ran 12.40's in hot weather.
Trust me a stall converter makes a big difference. You need better tires with the stall and you will be having some 12's for sure. I still think you should go and get your tune checked.
I hope this helps!

What's wrong?
1. Poor weather.
2. HORRIBLY mismatched combo, and crap parts.
The diablo sport programmer, cats, flowmaster, and stock converter all need to go. Address them with a dyno tune, ORY, cutout, and a quality torque converter (stall converter ). Run it in better air, something other than the soup you're driving through and it will perform like it should.
