Default first time to the dragstrip 98 z28

well I almost didnt go when the kid at the local gas station pumped 20 bucks worth of regular gas in my car. it was around 80 outside. since i changed the gears the car was hitting rev limiter in 2nd gear for about 3-4 seconds right before the 1/8th mile mark I know that was hurting my time & mph. i think it still ran ok for the mods, lid, flomaster catback, 3.42 street tires. here is how my timeslip looks

-60ft...2.056
-330..5.741
-1/8...8.745
-mph...80.87
-1000...11.431
-1/4....13.672
-mph...101.03

Im gonna get the shift points changed and Im hoping for around a 13.3?? what do you guys think?

Very good run for hitting the limiter. Get that fixed like you said and throw some drag radials on there. You'll be able to shoot for a 12.99 in some better weather.

Dont feel like you have to make all those excuses. Respectable run for a basically stock car. I have a stock A4 I will be taking to the Midnight Madness in San Antonio to get a baseline run. I will let you guys know what happens.

No excuses here. I was running 87 octane fuel. and hitting limiter bad on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift. I think the 2.0 60ft is about as good as it will get without a stall.

Get better gas in that thing and run it again.... mine went from 13.1 @ 108mph 2.1 60ft, slapping off the rev limiter with 93 BP gas to 13.1 @ 106mph 1.99 60ft (perfect run as far as shifting goes) with 87 octane.

It will make a difference. Trust me!
