It's always something. Just found another problem with my rear end tonight. More money??

Carbs are nice & simple. I run quick 8, T/S type stuff where you dial in.
It's worth the ease of maintenance & tuning for the little bit, if any ET I lose.
Even with 2 big daddy carbs, it's much cheaper to get started & tune.

and dont cheap out on the ignition... a good ignition box will cost about the same not counting a flying magnet and distributor...

those are the main things that make a motor run... get good ones...

Yep,

Good carb, digital MSD box, flying wheel, billet digital distributor...

Now if you just want a nice 400ish hp motor then just a nice car, distributor and box.

I'm happy with mine overall for what it is but I will eventually go back to fuel injection. I'm still running the stock computer to control the ignition and I haven't had any issues what so ever with it so far. The car has been low 9's (hopefully soon to be high 8's) with this setup and a big shot. Just letting you guys know that you don't HAVE to buy a MSD box to run a carb. The stock computer will do everything you need unless you are building an all out go to hell setup.

If you dont have a good reason to go carb, dont. If you have a long block, and youre putting it into something not originally LSx EFI than its cheaper for a 6010 and carb than a harness and ECU.

My LS is carbed and is converted for a distributor also. I went from a 4150 style Pro-Systems 750 to a 1050 Dominator (no pic with the 1050 yet)and I am very happy with it. I do not have an ignition box on mine. I plan on installing a Mallory Hyfire Digital box soon for the benifit of the timing retard and rev limiter functions.
