Default MT 325/50 to 275/60?

Trying to cut down as much weight as I can. I'm presently running the big-*** 325/50's. Do you think it's worth swapping over to the 275/60's or something similarly lighter? Best 60 ft on the 325's have been a 1.39, so I can't complain from that. Any suggestions from a drag racer is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What wheel size? 15s I am guessing? How is traction with the 325s? 275s are noticiably skinnier. Got to make sure that you aren't giving up needed traction. I can't imagine you are saving enough weight to make a noticable differance but as long as you have plenty of traction with the smaller tire every bit helps.

Butch........Put the 275 on it, most of the locals run it with no problems .We'll get your car to work on it. Mine and larry's have gone 1.32's on it.

my 28x10.5 ET drags are suer light! When i was at Winners Circle i picked up a MT radial tire and it was heavy as ****!! I would swap to a et drag and dro a ton of weight. Dropping rotational weight is the most effective way to drop ET's.

Thanks Chris. I noticed that all you guys run that size.

Taubr Unit- thanks for your input. I'll look into it as well.
